Judith James will carve the forms of triangle, circle and the line in granite as part of a residency at the Chitrakala Parishat Institute, Bangalore, Southern India. The residency runs from December 2000 to March 2001

The sculptures and their surface will be worked to interact specifically to create 'luminosity' in their response to light on their surface.

The installation of the sculptures on a mountainside 50Km north of Bangalore will be filmed over a 24hr period to create a visual record of its response to natural light.

Performance focused on the site specific installation will also draw out the fundamental aspects of the narrative or essence of the forms.
